Well it depends why it has been postponed. Bad weather or trying to preserve the pitch for Saturday? Let’s hope it is the latter

We can't rule out the prospect of the game being subject to a pitch inspection, the weather is only marginally less foul up there. There's no good outcome on this side of things... play and it'll be a lottery, postpone and it'll mean a huge midweek trip and the forecast for the next couple of weeks is no drier anyway. Match Centre - Link Match Tickets - Alfreton Town FC ( Segregated match so ensure you buy an away ticket) Coach #2 - Not being sold on the usual site, being sold via twitter link... Twitter/X ( 8 tickets left at last update). Ground Guide - Impact ArenaNLN v NLS, comparable tiers but are they a comparable standard? They are currently 5th with 24 points from 14 matches while we are currently 8th with 23 points from 14 matches. NLN Table - LinkNLS Table - LinkForm wise and despite the win at Twerton Park we're still 21st for league form home and away with just 5 points yielded from the last 18 available. In the NLN Alfreton are the second best team on form over the last six home and away with a far more impressive 13/18. Home and away form though and it evens itself out. They're 10th in their league with 11/18 at the Impact Arena and we're 8th in the NLS with 9/18 away from Woodside. NLN Home form - LinkNLS Away form - LinkSo you can look at it whichever way you like really... they're in better overall form or we're a better away side than they are a home side. Either way the key ingredient comes back to the opening question... are these two leagues of a comparable standard? They say anyway that you're only as good as your last game.... so while we winning away at a very well placed Bath City in great form, they were wining at home to a Farsley Celtic team that are 19th in the league and 18th in the form table... Alfreton Town v Farsley Celtic (highlights) - YouTubeIt all looks rather agricultural going forward for them, not sure I can remember the last time I saw a keeper taking a goal kick and being virtually the only player in his half... there will definitely be space to exploit on the break. But we have conceded some pivotal goals for the lack of a firm head in the box lately so an aerial battle looks a certainty, whether they've been watching our games or not. Squad wise you'd think therefore that this game will be one for old experienced heads, without doubt we'll miss Aarran's obvious qualities in this one. But with a week off and an almost clear bill of health Hinsh will have had two training sessions to formulate a bespoke action plan. Selection and formation therefore could be a bit of a surprise. Safe travel to those heading up and come on you Rebels! NB - There's a few fixtures going on in the NLS this weekend so we could well drop a couple of the places we regained last week... Aveley v Weston-super-Mare Braintree Town v Havant & Waterlooville Chippenham Town v Eastbourne Borough Dover Athletic v Hampton & Richmond Borough Taunton Town v Farnborough Tonbridge Angels v Chelmsford CityTorquay United v Bath City Weymouth v Welling United

If the game were to be called off, when would it be rescheduled to?

If the game were to be called off, when would it be rescheduled to? I heard something along the lines of Tuesday night. But that could be wrong.

An abundance of caution hopefully. Although calling off a game on a dry day does suggest there's a degree of worry.
They've broadly got a dry Wednesday, wet Thursday, dry Friday, wet Saturday... so there is a gap to allow a bit of drainage on Friday 🤞🏻

I’m sure they’d want to rearrange for the Tuesday night, rather than delay a week, then have possibility of a reply etc. They could also be thinking "Have it at short notice so there's a lower away support and maybe Worthing will be short of players who could get time off work" Just call me a cynical old Hector
