Fully agree regarding Greg, just hasn't worked out for him or us at all so far. Problem is that I think he is on a 2 year contract, assume he is on a decent wage, so unless someone comes in for him (no idea who would!) we may have our hands tied. What bright spark gave him a 2 year deal?? I'm sorry but there is something fishy about that deal!! Who's his agent? They worked wonders!! Ian Hart I’d imagine!!!

Greg is terrible, happy to just take his pay and not really do anything for it. He has one of the worst goalscoring records for an attacking player that I've ever seen.

Didn't expect to see the first team last night and didn't want to see them. I wanted to see our promising youngsters. A missed opportunity!
Mo Faal would be a huge mistake. Watched him several times at Havant. Flashes of individual brilliance but not a team player and we have enough of those already!

Probably spotted by the same scouts/agents/recruitment team that recommended Splatt and Thompson last season?!

Dartford Keeper Mitch Beeney has been released by Dartford... weird as he played for them last night!! Could be an option?

The only thing more embarrassing than our team at the moment Is the How would you feel about promotion ? Thread . Imo two midfielders with grit ., two centre backs and a keeper would see us comfortable at this level Mo is a no from me ! As is Beeney (another keeper which to many mistakes in his game ) Prepared to give the Spanish lad more time ( think his injury is still in his head ) anyone should be able to see he is a class act . Can only add to previous posts Luer and Klass bye bye 😷😷😷

Another thing to drive me absolutely potty last night was the foul throws! Ffs at that level! They should be embarrassed!

Some interesting posts here. Certainly last night's result was a shock and a tad embarrassing. The side that we put out should have been more than capable of beating spirited but very limited opponents but in cup games there is no divine right to win at any level. I do agree with the comments that whenever we are confronted with a team that sets up defensively we really do struggle to break them down as has been seen several times already this season. However, some of the opinions expressed are in my humble opinion bordering on the histrionic. I certainly do not subscribe to the view that one or two players are just happy to pick up their wages simply because I know that Adam would certainly not accept it. "Mid-table obscurity" being a classic. So what, even if that was the case, which it clearly is not at the moment. Play-offs last season and still in that position at the moment. I get what some people are saying but as someone whose allegiance to the club goes back to 1973, as a player, management and supporter I personally am still living the dream and generally thoroughly enjoying it. If you think we have problems, how do you think the supporters of big spending Havant & Waterlooville and Eastbourne Borough feel. I much prefer to just sit back, enjoy the ride and accept that there will always be the rough to go along with the smooth. Doubtless I will be shot at, but "thems my views".

These are fair comments, but being turfed out of two cup competitions, albeit both times on penalties, to lower division opposition is a little disappointing. I don't think it would have hurt to have played a few youth lads last night, if they lose the fans would likely shrug and go oh well it was just the youngsters getting experience etc. But we've now fielded two first team squad line-ups against both Frome and Littlehampton, and been knocked out on both occasions. Which, for me at least, raises questions about the levels of motivation of some of the senior players for games like these.

Oops, and I forgot to add that I feel that there is far too much negativity around !!! More than usual I'd agree. But most critique is backed up with valid reasoning around underperformance and isn't personal. Nothing wrong with that. I think the forum has been very fair on it, but not sure about other media. At the ground however, the emotional reaction was bound to be negative though but that's sport. It's the rough times that make the good ones taste sweeter!

Aah, "Bally", that's where I disagree. Players do read these forums and some of the constant negativity is personal. Particularly towards Rocco, Greg and Michael. They seem to be the regular targets. None of these are bad players, no player intentionally goes out to play poorly but good form can be elusive even at the top level. I see no benefit whatsoever in publicly humiliating players on social media. The job of telling players about there performance belongs to the team manager. Football, like all sports is a very easy game to play from the sidelines where your actions and opinions really and truly have no validity under the pressure of actually playing. Every supporter of every club is a better Manager than the person actually doing the job. Always has been, always will be. The opinions on here are a classic example. Some people rate player "X" some don't, ultimately it comes down to having trust and belief in the one person whose responsibility it is to make these tough decisions. I know that I am not alone in believing that we have at the helm the best Manager this club has had since the 1980s. I would say to the critics, be very careful what you wish for.

I think the frustrations come down from the fact that this season there is a regular pattern of us failing to break down teams that play a low block against us, we go through the same repetitive patterns of play in these games that fail to break down sides, regardless of their ability or level. I think that's a fair frustration to have to be honest as it's tough to watch and tough to swallow against lower league opposition. I think the forum provides balance for people to air views which is all part of the conversation. A long way to go in the season and time to improve the side with suitable recruitment!
