Fake news my 'arris. It's surely about having a blend, we can't produce a whole squad of youth team graduates, certainly not immediately anyway. Their time will come. If Hinch rates the lad then I have seen no reason not to trust his judgement so far. To do otherwise and bemoan all non home grown players would be to say we should never have signed Kwame, David, Jessie, Jalen, Ollie etc. I meant local nothing to do with the Academy.

A blend you say? That implies a mixture of both, I don’t even see a token gesture of being named on the bench.

A blend you say? That implies a mixture of both, I don’t even see a token gesture of being named on the bench. Jasper would've made the bench had he not been injured on Friday and I made the case for Josh off the back of a good performance on Friday. I did however acknowledge that would've been two games in 24 hours and three in four days had anyone played. Ricky was on the pitch, as were other former youth players from further back. This is only the first year we have had an academy side... and only the first MONTH that we've had Aarran in place charged with overseeing progression to the first team. How fast do you expect the progression to happen? Rome wasn't built in a day and I think criticism so early when the club are clearly directing focus towards this aim is very premature. If they're good enough they will play, eventually. But the club have to deal with the here and now.

I've been following the club for many years, long before George and Calvin started the current renaissance, so certainly don't expect Rome to be built in a day. I just find it odd that we keep selling ourselves along the "we give local talent a chance" line and yet half the starting lineup on Saturday are from outside Sussex, I sincerely hope we're not going down the previous route of getting our players from London and the disaster that bought with it. I follow the club closely enough to also know that Ross,Joel,,Ricky,Josh and Jasper are all local boys that were bought to Worthing for the U18'S initially by those running the team at the time,Ian Hart, Calvin Buckland or Matt Langley. It appears currently that the young players now being bought in are from out of our local area, Jalen,Kwame and now Henry. Jalen and Kwame are exceptional talents and I hope Henry proves to be too. Please though can we stop pretending that we are the flag bearer for promoting local young talent, we are clearly the same as all the other teams and will get players from anywhere if they improve the squad

Well, if the aim is to get the average age below 12 and spend most of the budget on coaches he had to go !!!

I hear that he didn’t get on with Hinshelwood in no uncertain terms.
I fear that there could be other older and experienced players set to go....this is not what w need.

Are there many more “senior” players to fall out with?

A shame but unsurprising given his lack of starts over the last few weeks of the season. I feel his experience could have been a useful asset in the run in but too late now! Always a solid performer when he played, wish him all the best wherever he ends up next.

First post here goes - during last season listening to Adam thoughts after the games he often says " I may have made mistakes " well for me letting Sam Rents now James Crane leave is a concern . Every club needs experience . Its all well and good having talented youngsters but during games some sort of guidance is needed .

More on Craney's departure from Hinch - HerePerhaps you may be able to explain to me why is 28 to old ? We have very little experience in the team that are full of youngsters . We need a bit of experience and letting quality go in Crane / Rents is bad news - no logic at all I'm afraid !!!!!

Completely agree about Crane going. For me he was one of the first names on the team sheet. Can only think he was one of the higher paid players and we must be cutting the wage bill?! Also Kane Wills won Eastbourne Boroughs player of the season another player we shouldn’t of let go! Onwards and upwards.

You have to feel this is a big season ahead for the club. If they are looking to build on or at least maintain the attendances from last season then a good start is much needed. Having missed out on the play offs this season the ambition has surely to be at least progress and make the play offs. The lack of experience we have now will surely be addressed as last season we were very light especially in midfield. This despite having Budd on the bench for a lot of the time. Fingers crossed some know how is added to the squad. The club deserves to be at a higher level im just hoping this is achieved sooner rather than later
