Reece Meekums joins Bognor - Here "A little disappointed about this if I'm honest. Not because it's 'them' but simply because if he was available again then why not us?" Replying to Keithsson. Players being loaned out don't have a say who over where their parent club tells them they are going. Bromley wanted a decent contribution to Meeky's wages. Bognor were prepared meet Bromley's demands, but Worthing either couldn't or wouldn't match what Bognor offered, so Bromley told Meeky he was off to Bognor. Bromley are only interested in recouping part of Meeky's wages, not whether he fancies playing for Team A over Team B. This is definitely NOT a case of Meeky playing Judas by "choosing" to play for Bognor and turning his back on Worthing because Worthing FC and the Fans have been brilliant to him, both this season and last season. Meeky just wants the chance to play football. Bognor are prepared to give him that chance until the end of the season, and prepared to pay Bromley what they wanted. Thank you for that. As Charlie says, more than a tad informed methinks. For the record, if it were any way unclear, my disappointment was with the club, not the player. All I can think is that having tried David out there with some success Hinch feels that the wide right spot is covered and he doesn't need him. You can always use Reece though, he gets everywhere. Ho hum, he's no less a Rebel for slumming it for a short spell.

I donβt claim to know enough about budgets etc.. but surely if our attendances are so high, we could compete (if we wanted to) with clubs such as Bognor? Happy to be corrected if my assumption is way off

Maybe, as Keithsson points out, Hinch thinks we're ok with our attacking options at the moment. I wouldn't pay too much heed to the ramblings of 'ill informed idiots from other clubs'. Sorry, I nicked that phrase from an ill informed idiot on a rival club's forum πππ

All jokes aside hopefully a good bit of business done by Rocks. You guys speak highly of him and hopefully he helps us reach the play offs where we hopefully do battle once again. Pretty sure a player canβt be loaned more than twice in a season to the same club?

Pretty sure a player canβt be loaned more than twice in a season to the same club? Yeah, don't think he could come again even if we wanted him to. Who knows what'll happen at the end of the season but I think I know who he'd choose if given the choice...

Good business my arse . Sorry but I'm in the minority on this one . IMO overrated simply because he runs around a lot ( jimmy muitt is ten times better ) .Hinch has got this one spot on . Good luck Bognor on whatever your paying for him . ( I am an ill informed village idiot though so maybe he will come good for the rocks )

Cityboy.... it just seems to me that every football forum has one or two idiots, but in your case you seem to be doing your best to single handedly prove that you are by far and away the best. Carry on, and good luck to you Sir !!

Worthing FC (@worthingfc) Tweeted: βοΈ SIGNING Youngster, Henry Ikeije signs to add to our attacking options & goes straight into todayβs squad ! #WelcomeToWoodside, Henry! ππΌ t.co/sEuPujqDIq From his Linkedin account... " Extremely motivated football player looking for a new Club, I am open to football trials anywhere across the country. Former player at The Players Academy and Margate FC first team. I have been on extended trials at a few professional clubs such as Gillingham FC, Barnet FC, Stevenage FC and most recently Barnsley FC." Welcome aboard Henry.

π I find this signing a kick in the teeth for the younger players around the squad. Keithsson mentioned Gould deserving a chance after a recent performance, yet we sign this chap out of nowhere. Iβve watched some of the academy games and thought we were about giving young, Sussex lads a chance?

Fake news my 'arris.
It's surely about having a blend, we can't produce a whole squad of youth team graduates, certainly not immediately anyway. Their time will come.
If Hinch rates the lad then I have seen no reason not to trust his judgement so far. To do otherwise and bemoan all non home grown players would be to say we should never have signed Kwame, David, Jessie, Jalen, Ollie etc.
