Joe Rye off to Pompey I believe ( don't shoot the messenger) 😷😷😷 There's a (possibly apocryphal) story about Joe having a trial last year at Hull City, travelling there by train, falling asleep, missing his stop and ending up in Aberdeen Millwall looking at him as well as Pompey I've heard.

Buddy departs from his role 😔 absolute club legend in my eyes and a role model to everyone! A big loss but wish him the best for the future!

Buddy departs from his role 😔 absolute club legend in my eyes and a role model to everyone! A big loss but wish him the best for the future! Club Site - LinkA great player for us in his day but let's be honest we've replaced him on the pitch a good while back, his cameos in the last two or three seasons have been but a sideshow. Buddy made me laugh though, the antics, the 'chops', the ref baiting. So whilst he may not be missed on the pitch I do feel his presence and energy will be missed in the changing room, who's going to be the voice now? Quite often I feel as a bunch of players on the pitch we're very quiet. Aarran leads the defensive line vocally but where's the leader up the field? Ollie is too busy chatting to the ref to lead the team, I do feel we miss a presence in the middle, a Buddy. So farewell old friend, I know you'll be about on the touchlines in a fan capacity, but within the squad you'll be sorely missed.

I've said elsewhere that Poku was the best player I've seen in Worthing colours, but Buddy was my favourite, total legend. Last summer, Worthing sent a bunch of mainly youngsters to play Pagham, Buddy played and he was absolutely brilliant guiding them from the middle of the pitch. Big shoes to fill, even though he has got tiny feet

Wow, that's a big shot in the arm. I figured Joel was a prime candidate to move up.

Great news that Aarran, Ollie and Joel have signed for the coming season. Buddy has been a great asset for the club and will be missed by the club and fans, maybe not by the referees though.

JB and Dan Bowry depart... Club Site - LinkNot a great surprise Bowry leaving as he barely got any game time, but JB more of a surprise as he was dangerous on his day - but a pro league offer is good for him I guess?

Yes we are going to miss JB, although we didn't get to see the best of him last season. With Joel playing so well he didn't have the opportunity to play in his best position. I wish him well in Thailand.
