Whilst not ideal a quick look at the remaining home fixtures doesn't show any real blockbusters, doubt we'll trouble the 2,000's with these...
Dover, Braintree, Taunton, Farnborough (midweek), Bath, Hampton, Weston.
The possible exception being Hampton on Easter Bank Holiday of course... unless they/we have dropped off the play-off pace by then.
The upside of doing it before the summer though is its availability for any play-off game(s) we may or may not earn.
Currently the contribution to our capacity limit at that end (being just one level) is only 100! We can times that by as many achievable steps of terrace it gains meaning potentially 500+ more capacity.

Wonder if we can bring the Elmo's roof deadline forward a week to have it completed by the time TNT come to town!?

Wonder if we can bring the Elmo's roof deadline forward a week to have it completed by the time TNT come to town!? Pete interviewed Barry after the match and it should be possible unless the weather delays things. Keith has already been looking into it and the board was updated last week.

I see Bognor are going down the 4g route Credit where credit is due their pitch always looked good. But I can understand the reason why they are going 4g. Seen some articles a while back that the supporters are not that keen on it.

Wonder if they'll keep the size of pitch as I think it's a bit wider than ours but most Astros tend to be a standard size. I understand why they would do it and of course it makes good sustainable sense, but what a pitch to play on, lost for the future.

If like me coming into the ground yesterday you looked at Elmo's end and thought 'they haven't done much since the last game'... I took a wander right round to take a closer look.
A section of the ground's perimeter wall has been taken down... although looking how much lean remains in what's left I wouldn't be surprised if more was taken out. Presumably this will be replaced, vertical this time.
The bulk of the work has been done on the ground though. The metre or so next to the pitch perimeter fence remains as tarmac, but everything else back to the wall has been dug out. Into these excavations has been poured reinforced concrete slabs. I'd say about 40% are done?
If the slabs are an indication then it looks like the depth of the structure will be about 2.5 metres... so maybe three steps of terracing, four at a real squeeze?
Despite appearances from a distance, stuff is being done 👍🏻

The Club are not actually building what we have planning permission for. So let's hope the Council like the end result. Also, will it comply with the Green Guide to safety in sports grounds?

That's the length of the pitch isn't it?? Fantastic. I wonder how much that will cost and when we will see artists impression

Ooh er Missus, that's a massive erection 😳
90m x 6m x 6m, now we're talking, nothing half arsed about that 👏🏻
As I took the discussion with Barry on Rebel Yell (ep.1or2?) the North terrace redevelopment was to be largely or wholly grant funded... grants only available on promotion.
Unless something has changed therefore the timing of this application is proactive planning rather than any plan to build anytime soon.
If we don't go up it doesn't get built. But if we do go up the planning phase is done, and subject to a successful grant application process we're good to go 👍🏻
All hypothetical of course but much like the developments in the last two seasons it'd have to be built 'in season'... to be compliant by March (is it?) 2025.
That's a big long build with big gates from big former league sides visiting at the same time. Surely the reinstatement of that additional exit onto St Elmo Road would have to be done first... the narrow passage under the main stand would be carnage to get through otherwise.
