That decision is wrong IMHO. I get crowds in the thousands and tens of thousands, I don't get crowds in the hundreds.
By that rationale all supermarkets, theatres and cinemas should close.
Lower league football has just fallen in line like lemmings after the top end failed to be guided by the scientific advice.
What is going to happen in two weeks, two months even, because it isn't going away.
The season could be written off, depriving us of promotion.

Crowds would probably increase owing to plenty turning up to get their football fix. By the law of averages squads will be in self isolation soon. Cant see any football being played for a long while yet and sadly with a lack of money coming in through the turnstiles many clubs could go the wall. Rather pessimisticly I feel our promotions chances will vanish as the season ends up written off.

Does anyone know if the Womens team's games are off too.
They can win promotion with just a point and given nearly all other sporting activity is ceasing they might get a decent turn out to witness it.

Then how would you do the playoffs? It just feels like whatever is decided then there will be lawsuits all over the place.

I have to say I'm feeling rather pessimistic now. Top flight football has apparently privately admitted that recommencing the season in early April is 'impossible' (BBC report). We would normally be nearing the end of our season by then. Looking more likely the whole thing will be void. Whatever happens now, I can't see us winning the league in a conventional way.

Points per game makes sense in deciding final league positions but the playoffs would be impossible to work through. Of course if we were in Crays position with games in hand I wouldnt agree!! Head to head record or toss of a coin maybe to decide playoffs. Mini Fifa tournament on the XBox!! Wonder if there is anything in the league rules. All leagues would have to be decided in the same way as if the NLS isn't completed there will be no places available in it. All in all a complete mess that has nothing to do with football. Or if the virus has decreased to a safer level maybe the season could be finished in June with 3 games a week to clear the fixtures. Following season could be delayed with no cup competitions. Players contracts and availability due to holidays etc could be a stumbling block though.

The national league south/north is set to be expanded from 22 to 24 teams next season anyway. If season is incomplete only promote the team top of the table

Well instead of driving down for Enfield v WFC it's Tow Law v Durham City for me, us hardy Northerners don't cancel for anything less than plague

As of now I've had no notification that Women's game is off.
We have a strange situation where some leagues are playing and some are postponing. Whatever the decision, a unified approach would surely have been sensible. Probably foolish of me to think that the FA might take a lead in the way FAW have. A bit early to talk about promotion and relegation issues. A prolonged suspension is likely to see many clubs in trouble and I don't suppose any of the billions pledged by the Chancellor will be drip fed to small football clubs.
And Kenty, your adopted neighbours may be hardy but it didn't stop them stripping supermarket shelves of bog rolls and pasta

I spoke too soon, NL fixtures now off but Northern Prem on so it looks like Spennymoor v Hereford for me.
Why is there a pasta shortage, none on the shelves at Morrisons Consett today?

A further, expanded statement from the Isthmian League via their site - LinkI'm not sure how helpful that is in offering any reassurance
