Unconfirmed rumours that Taunton have been issued with a winding up order by HMRC. I do know that they have let a lot of players go recently and admitted major cash flow issues due to postponements.

Order confirmed. Hope they get through this (or else Welling/Eastbourne/Dover or Chavant get a reprieve and we wouldn't want that would we)

If the worst happens to Taunton is their record expunged?
Or do sides yet to play them just get awarded 3 points?
Although hopefully they will get their issues sorted.

Expunged is the fairest... as per Nuneaton Borough on the other thread.
You don't go from a winding up order to non-existence in just four months though, the legal process is quite drawn out.
The likelihood is therefore they would still fulfil their fixtures but have a points deduction for being in administration... if and when that then happens.

They were top of the league at the end of September...

It's all gone a bit daft up here at the moment. In the last week Blyth Spartans, South Shields, Spennymoor, Darlington and Hartlepool ( all in the NL/NLN) have binned their managers! I see Kevin Phillips is now the new manager at Hartlepool.

From their fans forum earlier this week " a sponsor did not provide the funds agreed and to the tune of 18k. It left a big hole. The HMRC demand is not huge and should be paid soon. More sponsors are sought The budget has been cut, we had a budget of around 9th/10th it's not around 19th. The chairman gets to see all the sides in the leagues budgets as it all has to be disclosed apparently. It now looks more positive, just need the 20 or so points on the pitch to stay up now and regroup in the summer when there will be some big changes throughout. On another note one of our players is refusing to pay for the club as he had had an offer from a full time club but they don't want to pay a fee or made an official offer. Not great behaviour by the player!"

I'm hearing that NL TV has lost a shed lot of money and is therefore cutting back coverage. In what shape or form I'm not sure but they can hardly do it any more on the cheap than they currently do!

That's a shame, I hope the baby doesn't get thrown out with the bath water. On the odd occasion I've used it its been OK. It is what it is, a single camera view but that's fine. I think where they could cut down is on the 'packages'. Over the New Year period for example you could've watched four games for the price of one, too generous really.

I can’t see how they could make any real money anyway with the business model? It’s not PPV, so besides limited advertising revenue, how do they generate income?

Wasn't all the pressure to set it up all down to the Wrexham/Notts County demand last season?
Now they're gone its hardly surprising the figures don't add up really.

I thought it was pay per view, £9.50 per match, or am I mistaken?

Danny Bloor sacked by Welling United after winning at Hemel. (By phone on the journey home 🙈)
Not really fair but that unfortunately is football 🤷♂️
