Steve King ❌️ Be interesting to see who Havant get in next! Hinsh has been linked before. He'd be mad to, but clubs in desperate positions tend to offer mad money ☹ Hinsh isn't going anywhere I'm sure of it.

Martin Tyler, yes that Martin Tyler, thinks all National League North and South fixtures should be played on ........wait for it..........3G pitches following his Dartford team's 4-0 defeat at Tonbridge on Saturday. He appreciates the financial benefits of 3G pitches and thinks those that play on one have an advantage over those that don't!

Is Mr Tyler going to fund the cost of installing arti's at all those grounds then? The costs as we know are pretty large and most clubs can't afford it let's be honest! Personally I prefer to see the game played on grass and when I heard we were getting a 3G I wasn't so sure, but the benefits at this level far outweigh the negatives!
Side note, Maidstones top scorer Amantchi leaves for Bromley, are we at risk of losing Ollie if he keeps it up?

Some rumblings going on at Taunton regarding their finances, forcing the chairman to issue a "nothing to see here" message tauntontown.com/featured-news/chairmans-statement/They called off yesterday's match with Torquay because of the state of the pitch, and it is the pitch that seems to be the cause of their problems. Incidentally, I see WSM's home match yesterday was called off at 3pm without prior notice that there was going to be an inspection...

I just read an article on a non league page I am following about the struggles of Kings Lynn. Long story short struggling for money. They are trying to raise 300k to see out the rest of the season. Last year the running costs were approx 1.3 million. However the chairman was not really sure of the figure. Spend a lot of money and their average attendance this year is 881.
Don’t know a lot about the club but it seems the chairman is not really well liked by the fans. Reading all this makes me realise how lucky we are. Yes sometimes things do take time to happen. But the board doesn’t seem to be willing to spend money they don’t have. I rather have that then borrowing money and it all goes pear shaped. What situation will we find ourselves in then?

That's a shame about Taunton: last minute fracas on the pitch notwithstanding, I found everyone at that club (fans, barstaff, even one of their backroom bench staff) incredibly friendly and properly "non-league" (a compliment!) in their outlook.

King's Lynn Town, the current club, is a phoenix club. We played the original King's Lynn in 2006 and their officials at the time thought if they got promoted to National League North, they would go bust. In 2007 they were duly promoted, but demoted at the end of their first season as they had not upgraded their ground; they went bust part way through the following season. Sad that the "new" club is now also struggling; possibly those couple of years in the National League have caught up with them.

I mean I'm not a fan of our players making their own way to games but that's insanity for this level of football!

I mean I'm not a fan of our players making their own way to games but that's insanity for this level of football! Is it insanity? Say 20 people were going and sharing rooms at £100 a room That is already 1k gone. Plus the cost of the coach for 2 day hire plus a room for the coach driver. And then the meals on top. Yes it is it a lot of money. Could they got it cheaper who knows? I like to think that they looked for the best option.

It's all gone a bit daft up here at the moment. In the last week Blyth Spartans, South Shields, Spennymoor, Darlington and Hartlepool ( all in the NL/NLN) have binned their managers!
