Our women's team appear to have been kicked out of the County Cup according to Saltdean's twitter account - anyone know why?? If they have then our club doesn't know about it... at least as of three hours ago... Twitter/X
Edit : ...although by the looks of the Sussex FA website Newhaven have indeed been given a "home walkover" after our 0-4 away win on Sunday... Sussex FA SiteSomething is up, because that usually means the fielding of an ineligible player ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ

I can't turn in tonight without doing my duty for the Women's team who return to action at Woodside Road tomorrow for the first time... and this is just ridiculous... in 63 days!! QPR are the visitors at 2pm* and its 3rd (us) v 4th (them)... Table -ย FA WebsiteWe won the away fixture 1-4 and we need to complete the double to keep nibbling at the heels of Norwich and Wimbledon. So please, if you can, get down to support them and help remind them they aren't a band of travelling nomads... they do actually come from Worthing ๐๐ป * I will confirm once the Twitter/X match day tweet comes out in the morning but the game was I believe erroneous announced over the tannoy today as being a 3pm k/o... but is listed on the FA Website as being 2pm.

Finished 1-1 (Shannon Albuery)
After the 'open door' games recently from the men it was refreshing to enjoy two closely matched teams playing more of a game of 'chess' and trying to unpick the locks.

It looks like the Women's League game v Haywards Heath on the evening of Tuesday 20th is going to be bumped by the Under 18s game. ๐

It looks like the Women's League game v Haywards Heath on the evening of Tuesday 20th is going to be bumped by the Under 18s game. ๐ Well something had to give and I guess the time constraints involved in cup competitions trump league games which can be rearranged later in a season. I hope its rescheduled for an evening though, I was looking forward to another game under the lights.

Worthy but hard fought 2-0 win. A tigerish opposition broke up our game very well in the first half but tired in the second, Sophie Humphrey and Georgia Tibble with the goals.ย Up to 2nd... FA Website

Just two more chances to come to home games: 14th and 21st April. Also, Lauren is doing really well in the Golden Glove competition ๐
