This season we have had 7 league matches v FT teams and 18 against PT ones. Versus FT, p7 w5 d0 l2 GF19 GA7 Versus PT, p18 w8 d4 l6 GF32 GA30 I've no idea what conclusions to draw from this, I was just bored by the lack of decent TV or any local footy to watch tonight

Worthing FC must be one of the best part time teams/clubs in the country. If you are bored Kenty or if you know Paul D or anyone else. Can you tell me/us where Worthing FC rank in the table of part time teams/clubs in the country. There cannot be many teams/clubs above Worthing FC which shows us how well Worthing FC have done in the George Dowell/Hinshelwood era long may it last !

On current tables I believe that only Wealdstone, Oxford City, Hampton & R, Tamworth and Chorley are above us as Part Time teams (using ppg)

Thank you Kenty much appreciated. Its incredible for us older fans to believe only 6 part time clubs are above Worthing FC and full time teams are below us!.Worthing are the best Non league side in Sussex.Big game on Saturday win this and find some consistency over the remainder of the season and the sky's the limit.

I think we have what it takes to make that step to the next level.
It's a long term plan and we are doing it the right way having a strong infrastructure.
The biggest challenge is the groud getting it ready for NLP which the club are doing.
The future is bright and pardon me for blowing trumpet but I believe we are a epitome of how a club should be run at any level of football.
If it hadn't been for the pandemic we might of been there already.

In my humble opinion, getting the ground right is easier (or maybe less difficult is a better way to put it) than sorting out the off pitch commercial side. We will never generate enough money via the gate to be a decent FT team. We will need commercial revenues far in excess of what we pull in now to achieve this. I agree that we are well run; very well run by comparison with many, but it's an exponential jump to the next level

Full time in NLS is a red herring! A lot of kids on a gap year. Not my choice of words but those of a mother of one of those kids at Eastbourne Borough.

Not a fan of full time in NLS. You end up with the worst of the full time players rather than the best part time ones. As rebellious puts it far more politely than me, "gap year kids". Not the less charitable "living at home with parent(s) so happy to call themselves professional footballers on less than the minimum wage" that I'd have gone for! Good for their insta I guess...

So, with the break even for full time being 1300 average attendance and us finishing on 1432 the following questions arise...
If we go up: Do we stay PT/Hybrid to keep costs down, get beaten (a lot), but get the stand done with the grants or go full time and risk it?
If we stay in NLS: Do we stick to a 3rd year of PT, delay the stand, build the cash reserves/invest it and go all guns blazing in 2026?
Thoughts?

Wider choice of players who may wish to join us and, this may be a controversial view, less risk of "dickhead" syndrome as players who have an outside job would have a more rounded personality in my view.

My understanding is whatever happens the stand will be build regardless. Also what hasn’t been mentioned if we get promoted will players stay due to the increase of travel? If we get promoted we should seriously consider full time or a hybrid version. But saying that Dorking were on a hybrid version and that didn’t work. But then again not every club is the same.
