Brilliant interview. Clearly a wrench for him, but also a great opportunity.

And as if anyone begrudged his move, it highlights what an opportunity it is, regardless of the risks.
Nothing but gratitude, we are lucky to have had him.
Nice nod to how he has grown with us. What a man. He's made some mistakes and learnt, taken risks that have both tanked and blown us away. These last 3 months of play have been another level! Just remember it's a two way thing and Worthing have given to him as well as the reverse, which he humbly appreciates.
Thanks for the memories, on to the next hunt for our next chapter!

Although York will be paying out Hinsh's contract, any ideas what additional compensation/fee are we likely to get (and is this something the club would communicate)?

I would have thought it's all 1 package inclusive? So the deal would encompass Hinsh, Cam, Gary and all additional compensations?

It's the net gain that interests me. Yes we'll get a lot, but we also committed to invest a lot so it all evens out. How much £ do we actually net gain to invest and what are the priorities?
Players? Full time? North Terrace? Training facility? Subsidised pasties?

If figures are correct, I belive what the club may have received would clear the current level of debt! But then again most football clubs run at a debt anyway, it's more about how you managed the debt!!
Elmos End must already be financed, but there will need to be continued investment to Woodside, perhaps the North Bank maybe but from what I am aware of that's much more longer term.

Paying off debt would be a very responsible investment! Can't believe subsidised pasties made my list above responsible financing! 😜

We may have the 2.5ish years of Hinsh's contract in cash but we shouldn't consider that any kind of windfall... because of course at some point we'll have to pay someone else that money to manage us.

I very much doubt that the pay out from York would have been at that level, more likely a medium to low 5 figure sum but we will never know the true figure

There fans say their owner would be willing to stump up a fair amount and pay what we would ask, so we might be surprised at what the figure could be

Well I'd be fairly certain that 'manager salary' is budgeted for. So if Manager A leaves and Manager B replaces him, assuming they get paid the same, then the budget doesn't change. But if Manager A leaves and the club he goes to pay up the rest of his contract, then that's cash which we didn't previously have in the budget, surely?

What intrestes me is why a club who don't appear to have any prolific goal scorers on their staff would pay out for a management 'team ' from a side with one of the worst defensive records at this / their level . Still totally bemused. 😷😷😷
