So here we are, (not) the final game of the season...

The objective is simple. 1) Win and we secure a midweek rest and a pass to the Semi Finals. 2) Win by three goals and we've done all we can to maximise the opportunity should Chelmsford drop any points.
And let's not dress it up any other way, we damn well should win. Everything is in our favour... momentum, home advantage, form, fresh legs as they play twice in midweek (Tues/Thurs).
But objectives can be as simple as possible, a very appropriate adage in military circles is that 'no plan ever survives first contact with the enemy'.
Because they've done us good and proper once already this season...

Our record in the return leg of our many away spankings earlier in the season has been mixed. We spanked Maidstone right back (5-1), we saw off Hampton (2-0) but Braintree did the double (0-1). Let's make this another sweet revenge.
I can't really do the league placings or the form given our opposition still have two games between now and Saturday, and there are six midweek games in total. So I'll just do the links...

But do take a look at that form table, any which way all the midweek games go we will be the #1 form team in the league at kick-off, hitting our bootstraps at just the right time, as the finishing straight appears.
And anyway although this is a league match we're really in a cup competition now. I see this final round of matches as like the last games of a World Cup group stage, qualification for the knock-out rounds is already guaranteed, its just a matter of placements.
Squad wise as far as I know everyone looked like they came through unscathed, Jack Wadham was withdrawn on 'match fitness' grounds only after his his lay-off. Nicky Wheeler could come into contention after injury.
All remaining matches...
Tuesday
St Albans City v Hampton & Richmond Borough
Taunton Town v Torquay United
Truro City v Dover Athletic
Weston-super-Mare v Eastbourne Borough
Thursday
Taunton Town v Weston-super-Mare
Truro City v Weymouth
Saturday
Aveley v Bath City
Braintree Town v Eastbourne Borough
Chippenham Town v Chelmsford City
Dartford v Truro City
Dover Athletic v Yeovil Town
Maidstone United v Hampton & Richmond Borough
Slough Town v Welling United
Taunton Town v Hemel Hempstead Town
Tonbridge Angels v St Albans City
Torquay United v Havant & Waterlooville
Weymouth v Farnborough
Worthing v Weston-super-Mare
Should be a big crowd on Saturday. Not as big as if a play-off place depended on it maybe, folk might choose to keep their money in their pocket for our play-off game, hopefully Saturday, maybe Sunday, but God forbid Tuesday! But we're the form team in the league, the leagues highest scorers and we're at home in the sun... why wouldn't you want to be there? π€·π»ββοΈ
Come on you Rebels ππ»
