The is an argument to suggest that a failure to convert chances is as big a factor in dropping league points than conceding goals. Mistakes in defence are easy to highlight but mistakes in attack are considered just one of those things. We missed so many chances yesterday. Only four goals from that amount of ball possession and chances created was poor. On the other hand, Joe Rye was majestic yesterday, his one v one battle with Jeffers was one of the game's highlights. To say we are good in attack but poor in defence is way off the mark. This may well be an unpopular opinion but if you can't score goals in this Worthing team then perhaps Charles is correct and you are not a NLS striker! I don't think that's unpopular at all, you only have to think that Ollie has scored 5 in 2 games, which is more than I can see Luer scoring all season if I'm honest! Kane has more goals in the league this season from left back than one of our regular strikers... we score goals, we always have done and always will do but as you rightly say, if you can't find the net in this team then maybe that speaks volumes?

1,300 is the break even figure apparently.

1,300 is the break even figure apparently. Crumbs, that is concerning then. Not only are we under budget already, not only must we now significantly improve on the gates we got in a play-off run just to break even... but someone thought it was a good idea to bank on growth 🤔

Also the concerning thing with that is the lack of communication and updates from the club on our infrastructure improvements.
Where has Ralph's one off investment gone? Why is there a significant delay on the Elmo's end roof? What happened to the fanzone cover?
Plenty more questions yet to be answered, will it get to a point some paid roles will need to be pulled to save money?
I've championed the need for a fans forum for a long time or at least monthly website updates on off field ongoings. Unfortunately over the last few months it's gone quiet on that front again and is frustrating.
When you don't get a chance to have a Q&A you really don't know where you stand.

Yup, "its all gone quiet over there..."
As I recall from Barry's input on the podcast Ralphs investment allowed the St Elmo's end cover to go ahead to planning and now its approved (Sylvia confirmed that since). Presumably now just awaiting tender and completion.
But you're right, that was what, August/September time?
That and the fanzine cover all feeds into the fan experience and their willingness (or otherwise) to pay £16 to watch football. We've been quite lucky with the weather so far on our home games this autumn/winter, lots of wind but only one proper wet one?
With all our home games this month it made no sense to do it in December but with no game between Chelmsford on the 6th and Slough on the 23rd you'd hope the ducks are being got in a line for that prime window of opportunity in January.

Two sides who were absolutely abject defensively and decent going forward made for an entertaining, but ultimately frustrating afternoon. Their subs came on and made a difference, ours seemed to make us weaker. Surely in a mad game with 10 to go and 4.3 we should have looked to shut up shop rather than pile forward looking for more goals. The amount of times we left ourselves 2 on 2 or 3 on 3 at the back throughout the match was ridiculous... We can't escape the fact either that they brought on the guy we shipped out to help thin the squad... to accommodate our subs today 🤔 He made an impact and scored, they didn't... again. Happened to check in on the ILPD earlier and talking of players we had, could've retained/re-signed and might've done a better job than our expensive contracted imports... ...Davide Rodari scored his 11th and 12th goals of the season for Hastings yesterday 🤔 Yes he had injury questions but, like Barks, he's gone somewhere else and is enjoying playing relatively injury free (23 and 19 appearances respectively).

1,300 is the break even figure apparently. If that’s the case even more puzzling opting for a 3pm kick off on Boxing Day? With Brighton vs Spurs now on the 28th, a 1pm kick off allows a full hours bar opening beforehand, but perhaps equally important gets everyone locally home by around 3.30. FWIW I think an earlier kick off would produce a bigger attendance.

That's a very good shout harty with loads of premier league games kicking off at 3pm on Amazon Prime plus lower league clubs games probably being available at 3pm on ifollow their will be a temptation for people to stay at home. Also you are in the building rather than down the football so if the dishwasher needs loading you can fit this in at half time.
