I think 1st goal he should have done better. 2nd was penalty. 3rd was a very goal. 4th not really sure. But I think the players feel more comfortable with Jeffries in the goal than Rees. Wondering if Adam will go for a replacement. Fingers crossed the injury isn’t to bad for Josh. He only signed his first professional contract a few days ago but at least he is in good hands with the Southampton medical team.

From what was being said on twitter and what I've been told it sounded and bad one and like a possible broken ankle? We did seem more comfortable with Josh at the back and that's a real shame! Will give Rocco the benefit of doubt for today's game!!

Don’t know what to say about today really. Feels a bit like a hollow victory.massive blow the injury to Jeffries. Conceding 4 goals against Dover.
Just let’s look forward to next week’s game.

For the injury, definitely a bad one, one of those that wouldn't have been shown again on telly I would have thought... Quite a stomach turn-er from that side behind the goal.
A really slow start, very blasé, and we didn't look particularly special. But after a solid period, and three good goals it looked like we could get double figures unanswered.
The injury was really nasty, and Roco came on. I was too far away in the second half to see his role in the third and fourth goals, but sending Joe Felix away from making a wall for the first seemed like a mistake at the time and with hindsight... Otherwise I'm not sure he had a lot to do.
Ollie - Superb. Klass - excellent again, seemed keen to get forward today Reuben - Best game I've seen at senior level, two excellent tackles just after the first goal and linked up well
Plenty of other decent performances, but conceding 4 probably worth a look.
Main thing - best wishes to Josh Jeffries and hopefully a quick recovery.

Dreadfull defending (Rocco included ) against a truly dreadfull Dover side . After the bad injury to Jeffries , just glad to get the game over and done with . Can someone please please tell me what the defensive coach does all week . Conceding 4 goals against the bottom club really should be a wake up call to all . Thank f::k Olie continues to score at will . Entertaining for the neutral , for me not impressed! 😷

Rocco doesn’t fill me with any confidence, don’t know about his team mates. Hopefully had the game been closer we would’nt have conceded those last 2 goals. If we were to get promoted, National League sides would have a field day against us I’m afraid without big improvements in defence. Shouldn’t really carp at a 6-4 win though!

No surprise there then!!! Having conceded just 4 in the previous 5 games I would think it more than likely conceding 4 today was down to the terrible injury to young Josh. At 3-0 up we where coasting. Not blaming Rocco, but for the first goal he could and should have done better. The 2nd was a blatant penalty and the last two just looked like really good goals. On the balance of the game, we clearly where worth far more than a two goal victory. Yes, Ollie is banging in the goals but let's not ignore our (at times) sublime attacking play that is creating the chances for him. The only disappointments for me today where the injury and the winning margin. Apart from those I'm still so very pleased and thoroughly enjoy watching this exciting team.

Firstly best wishes to Josh, a horrible injury after he landed awkwardly heading a long ball away under pressure from a Dover attacker. Massive loss to ourselves but luckily he had just signed a professional contract with Saints and will be well looked after by their medical team during his recovery. Also good to see the Dover physio helping keeping the injured ankle stabilised before the ambulance arrived.
Attacking wise we were very good, some lovely patterns of play in the midfield enabled us to create plenty of chances and goals. At times it looked too easy.
Defensively we switched off a few times and to be fair to Dover, they capitalised. Harsh award of a free kick, possibly a goalkeeping error but a decent strike that caught everyone by surprise for their 1st. Blatant penalty for their 2nd and the 3rd and 4th were well created and taken goals.
Decent entertainment, 3 points, some very good performances but overall a rather flat victory because of the severe injury.

I dont' know what to say really, the injury to Josh aside and of course I wish him a speedy recovery but have I seen a ten goal thriller? Not really. We should have //could have bulldozed a poor Dover side.

Only natural really I suppose, but just seems so tough to keep all supporters happy all the time. I really wonder whether 10 years ago, supporters would have even bothered to comment because we all knew what to expect. Maybe that is the key, expectations are now so high that if we don't achieve those highs every week then it becomes easy to be dissatisfied. Personally not sure what some expect. Anyway, a very interesting post match interview from the Dover manager. Full of praise for our style of play, but apparently their visiting supporters outsung our home crowd. I must of missed that bit!!!

First and foremost, all the best to JJ 👏🏻 I don't want to see it again, and I'm sure it won't feature on the highlights as the sight of a foot at 60° to its leg isn't nice. But for the life of me I couldn't work out how he did it, it didn't seem to be down to the contact with their player I can only assume his foot just gave way did it? Horrible. In Hinsh's interview he talks of a "break" but then also a "dislocation", it can only be one or the other. Neither is good and neither is a quick recovery, but bones do heal stronger once re-fused. Ligaments and tendons however can be tricky b*ggers sometimes. Heartening to hear he'd just signed a pro contract so he couldn't be in better hands than at a recently EPL medical team. I do hope we get the chance to see him here again one day. If not, thank you Josh, I saw nearly all your games for us and you are a quality player. Good luck son 👍🏻 Now, to the game itself... ...but have I seen a ten goal thriller? Not really. We should have //could have bulldozed a poor Dover side. Yeah, its obscenely churlish to feel this way, I accept that, but it really does feel like a missed opportunity to turn over Yeovil's GD. Said as much in the preview, a win was just a routine day at the office in this one, a good day at the office was a big boost to our GD. We went 6-2 up on 71 minutes. That's 19 minutes plus stoppage time against a team that knows it has lost, and at that point just one goal behind Yeovil. It should've been a case of being ruthless... instead we lost that period 2-0 and with Glovers 4th we end the day exactly where we started -4GD. We're ten points adrift I know, its highly unlikely we could catch them anyway. But there's enough games left to reel that in if we keep winning and they drop points here and there. Were that to happen we're only ever going to pip them by a fine margin... goal difference, if you pardon the pun, could make all the difference. Its these periods, when the game is won and the opposition is vanquished where you simply MUST make hay while the sun shines. Listen, we won, that's the bottom line. I haven't lost sight of what's most important. But walking away from winning a "10 goal thriller" should leave you... well... thrilled!! You shouldn't come away feeling even slightly miffed, yet because of the way it ended I can't help it. However unlikely, if we miss the Championship trophy on goal difference then we lost it today, they were there for the slaughter. I agree with the assessment others have already made, it can't be laid at Roco's door. Goal 1, meh, maybe, but not the others. For me that was a collective mindset thing, 'game won' we switched off a bit. Well winners don't switch off, winners maintain a killer instinct until the final whistle. MOTM for me was Ollie*, obvs, but honourable mentions for MK, Dylan Fage, Joe Felix and Cash. Good attendance too I felt, 250 above average. *I doubt we have a 'dubious goals panel' at this level but his third I saw as an OG. He did brilliantly well to fire it across but there was the faintest of touches from their defender running in with Cash that then took it onto both posts and in.

Think signing a new goalkeeper on loan is becoming a priority in my eyes It is, but not simply because of Roco. Having two viable first team keepers is essential for occasions just such as this. Just because its the first time its happened 'in game' since Lucas at Moneyfields is no reason to think it couldn't happen again. Lightning can strike twice and we need a decent keeper on the bench every week. So yes, if we even can outside the transfer window, another keeper is a priority. Until that time however Roco is our keeper and I'm right behind him 👍🏻
