On a side note when did we last have a 0-0 at Woodside?

Well, What did we learn this week? Dover were poor. Dembele played for Bognor. We play entertaining football. We score goals, Oily Pearce scores goals. We concede goals. We win games. Clean sheets are irrelevant - Goal difference is what matters. We have too many loan players. We won't keep clean sheets if defenders are still in the other half when the ball goes in. Rocco needs our support. Player welfare isn't taken seriously enough. We have a big budget but players have to crowd fund for an operation. Many of our new fans are shallow. Some people take my posts too seriously! What’s the SP with this Go Fund Me issue? Is the player in question out of contract? And if he is under contract wouldn’t the club be insured?

Some contracts don't include insurance. That was a point of reflection last year that Nathan was considering during one of his interviews. Although I'm not sure if Odei was contracted?

My understanding is after the Q&A at the agm for the supporters Assc yesterday. , there is insurance for players. However the players need to pay for the treatment first and then they can claim it back or a part of it. With regards to Odei being under/out of contract I don’t know. I can only assume he is on a contract till the end of the season. But I really hope he can get the op so he can work again and play football. Think he was one of the better signings this season

Dover beat Beckenham in the Kent Senior Cup last night but there is speculation that they played an ineligible player and may be booted out!!!!!!!!!! Confirmed that Dover have been thrown out

On a side note when did we last have a 0-0 at Woodside? Last home 0-0 in the League was 20/8/22 against Chippenham

Any news regarding the severity of injury that Josh suffered on Saturday? We were told on Sunday at the AGM from the supporters Assc that it was a dislocation and a fracture. But nothing official. The only positive thing is that he is under contract with Southampton. And their medical team/facilities are very good. So fingers crossed 🤞

Any news regarding the severity of injury that Josh suffered on Saturday? Heartless as it seems in these situations with a loan player he exits immediately and returns to his parent club. I'm sure amongst our squad/staff there'll be regular contact but as a Southampton player it'll be up to them to put anything out publicly. Sadly in the scheme of things for them, outside his continuing support from their medical staff, Josh will just be a name on a spreadsheet. Certainly media wise its so far down their list of priorities I doubt we'll hear anything more than rumours.

Like the rest of us I wish Josh a speedy recovery, at least Southampton are playing with a straight bat. Going back a few years I remember signing an Albion youngster on loan, David Adejo (?) who promptly got sent off for violent conduct 20 minutes into his WFC career, a 3 match ban ensued, during which BHA, or the people in that specific department, now left I hasten to add, insisted on Worthing still paying the agreed wages even though the player was unavailable for selection. 🤷♂️
