Heartless as it seems in these situations with a loan player he exits immediately and returns to his parent club. I'm sure amongst our squad/staff there'll be regular contact but as a Southampton player it'll be up to them to put anything out publicly. Sadly in the scheme of things for them, outside his continuing support from their medical staff, Josh will just be a name on a spreadsheet. Certainly media wise its so far down their list of priorities I doubt we'll hear anything more than rumours. Like the rest of us I wish Josh a speedy recovery, at least Southampton are playing with a straight bat. Going back a few years I remember signing an Albion youngster on loan, David Adejo (?) who promptly got sent off for violent conduct 20 minutes into his WFC career, a 3 match ban ensued, during which BHA, or the people in that specific department, now left I hasten to add, insisted on Worthing still paying the agreed wages even though the player was unavailable for selection. 🤷♂️ Belive that was David Adjiboye! Had a very average loan spell but came back a different player and that season when he was top scorer he was excellent!! Now a regular for Peterborough after being snapped up by Sutton from us.
