Just seen a go fund me page for Odei's knee surgery. Is he a non contract player? Do the playing contracts include private medical insurance? Anyhow, my point is that this is an example of how far we are from being a full time professional club. Still closer to the parks than the football league!

Part of the reason Aarran had to call it a day was, I think, that his op would have been on the NHS and the wait was just too long.

I think it was more a case of needing 1 operation, rehab and then another operation with rehab. And don’t forget he has a young family.

But it is true that he wasn't able to go private with the operation, and that changes things in terms of wait time - 2 or 3 months wait (probably less) for a private op as opposed to 9 to 12 months on the NHS.

I'm thinking he's a cover option for the left wing?... Hinsh laid his stall out when signing Dylan Fage about his plans for the right side (F&F... Fage/Felix). On the left Luque is away and Nicky Wheeler has another 3-5 weeks for his stated recovery. Cash has been out there periodically but has also been more central when Robbo hasn't played. In that regard I can see the sense. But yes, where are the more desperately needed defensive cover options?

Finding it hard to process this. One minute we are asking the supporters to fund a players operation, the next we are (presumably) funding another striker coming in on loan. Not sure we have our priorities right here. From the outside it isn't a good look.

Looks absolutely fine to me. Seems sometimes that Adam and the club can't do right for doing wrong !!

The fundraiser is fan led and independent from the club FYI The club have put it on their socials today FYI. Sounds like good engagement all round. The club can't pay for private treatment for every player without it written in their contract, it's great they are supporting him though. The way Hinsh has treated him, wanting him around and even celebrating with him over the barrier after the 3rd goal on Saturday shows he means a lot to the club! The Worthing Way!

Were in a simmilar situation to last season where we had to bring in loans. We do have injurys in key areas so I imagine Adam has a lot of plugging gaps to do and it is not a fast processs getting these things over the line.
