Smokey Joe I find that very interesting that you offered money and they turned it down. As I’m aware Pete Stone hasn’t put any money into the club. I’m struggling to understand his role at the club? I’m told the bloke has a very good head for business. Perhaps he’s working to very tight budgets etc. As I believe he must have ideas on improvements for the club and the ground. How hard can it be to rebuild that toilet in the corner, you’ve got a load of trademen sponsoring the club. The place is literally falling apart externally.

Smokeyjoe and tiptoes, not sure what your agenda is with the constant negative postings but...the FACTS are, that in the very short time since George took control and Pete Stone got involved we have won a promotion, and are now established in the Premier league. We have had a 3G pitch installed (not without its problems I agree, but hardly George's fault). We have a totally refurbished Rebels Tavern, a new outside Bar, a fantastic overhaul of the main stand that is the envy of most clubs at our level (Horsham's new stand is no where near it). A new front entrance and turnstiles, a refurbished toilet block behind the Snack Shack, a new boardroom and classroom for the academy, the main changing rooms underneath the stand have just been refurbished. We now have a Ladies Team, a Seniors Team and are known as a real community club. In case you have not noticed, the old main clubhouse also had a new roof put on in order that it can be rented out to generate income. The only part of the external structure that urgently needs sorting is the aforementioned toilet block. Financially, its all about priorities. I feel for George who as a young man has invested time and money in this project to read this constant sniping about HIS club. Without George, the club in all likelihood what not exist today. As for the comment about the club falling apart externally...get real. With regards to the loss of Senior players (Sam Rents particularly gets a lot of mentions on here), they obviously want more money. Adam has proven himself very clever at identifying young talent (Ricky and Joel, are just two examples) and he then nurtures these youngsters into very fine players. Financially, this is now the Worthing philosphy and long may it continue.

Tony Let’s not forget the hard work Calvin put in also. Surely worth a small mention in your little summary.

Heljag the problem with making certain observations and putting in writing they can get taken out of context - to say I'm diss the club is totally untrue . Fact to Tonyh is again fully respect his posts , he makes a number of very good points and factual points .the bits that I'm trying to get over but people read certain comments on hear that And automatically attack saying I for one am perhaps out of order . Have you ever thought it is out of concern .? You say rents perhaps wanted more money , do you know that's Fact ? I bet no ! Tonyh yes we have fantastic facilities 100% . There only great if we get the crowds coming in to use them . I do know George and I'm the least person to ever think that I'm dissing the club that he is mainly responsible for saving . The points I raise are out of concern for his investment . Which is not an investment where sadly he more than likely makes no money out of . Again my concern is for him . As I see it Calvin was of great help to him and then he is gone . Two guys are introduced to us the fans then another disappears . We are left with Pete stone who I do not know.. has he put money in the club - not necessarily for me to know . I only state facts and ask questions , I'm not sure that's dissing the club . Read my last comment and that tells you where I stand as a supporter of George and the club .

tiptoes... you are absolutely correct, and that was a very bad omission on my behalf. Calvin was a huge part of the massive improvements made since George and his team took over. I Know for a fact how much hard work and how many hours he personally put in to making the club what it is now. I apologise and Calvin when you read this, no offence was meant.

I have the utmost respect for Calvin I did a lot of work on the ground with him when George and Calvin took over what happened When Peter came to the club I don't know? Only he knows? But that was then this is now it's just septic to keep looking back On that.we as fans need to go forward some silly comments have been thrown around of which I am guilty as any one so let's put A line under it and try and pull in the same direction??

Can anyone tell me why Calvin did leave? Aside from terrace rumbles I never really did get why. I was a bit late to social media so didn’t know if a full story was posted.
Thought he was a good honest guy that was there for the fans so can only echo what everyone says above.
I have been coming down for around 4/5 seasons so only claim to know the club from then, but obviously heard about the history and know that George has been a hero for the club. Perhaps if we wish to remain a community club and keep the spirit, we should get more people like that around the club - hard to find I guess

One of the things the club must address is the number of kids kicking footballs about in the area between the outside bar and the tea hut. I think it was the Whitehawk game they were flying around that area with people holding hot drinks as well as food. It is an accident waiting to happen and the kids have no idea what is going on around them. I f someone is scalded or burnt and litigation is forthcoming it could cost the club thousands.
