Lincoln didn't train much with Bognor because he was so busy. While he is a good keeper, I think a fully committed keeper is needed for cohesion. I'm sure there are others who would fit the club profile more.

Roco Rees has been released by Brentford. That might be another option available to us. He knows the club.

Farewell Harrison!
Quality kepper who really waa an asset. We will miss him but I don't begrudge him moving on to play in a higher league. He is a youngman with a bright future!
Will be interesting who we get in but after his SSC final heroics I wouldn't mind seeing Tillmen get a run in the 1st team even if he is second choice keeper .

Annual refresh of the players thread to trim its page number count ( 23 pages in 22/23). As many things relevant to 23/24 have been discussed since we ended our league campaign in Oxford, only posts up to that point will be migrated to the archive page. For all historic player discussion preceding the end of the 22/23 NLS campaign please view the archive... 'Players' Archive Thread - Link

One thing I have noticed, alot of clubs even at this level publish a retained list of players, or have at least confirmed several new signings already! I'm not having a go at the club here, but it does feel we are slower on the uptake of getting new players in, or is it that we take a more methodical approach to recruitment? Just a thought. When signing new players you usually get a picture of the new player in the home shirt. Does the potential move away from Kappa delay the announcements? That is off course is there is a new kit supplier. For all we know the club have signed a few players and haven’t told us about it. Like I said just a thought

Looks like he has quality, but the serious knee injury he suffered might be a concern, but I trust the management on getting that call right! Has good experience at this level.

UEFA B license and a long term injury 👀 We must assume he is fit again to play. Why would the club give him a contract otherwise? I guess we will see when the friendlies start. If fit could be a great signing for us.

I see this as a bit of a high stakes gamble from us really. Undoubted huge reward as he's clearly a very good player, undoubted huge risks given his injury situation. Can't help but also think of the experienced signings we brought in last summer to compliment our young squad. Kane, big success. Adam El-Abd, didn't work at all. And we weren't to know he'd be out for the season in game one but Jake Robinson was class. So one win and two losses from our experienced reinforcements last summer. Here's hoping Joan is more Kane and not another long time absentee.

Managing two ACL reconstruction players return to football makes the appointment of a Lead Physiotherapist probably our most important signing of the summer.

Skipper signs on for 23/24! Good bit of news as we need him as a leader at the back!

I'm tired of this silly social media game already. So we have to assume they are all leaving, unless told otherwise!

I'm tired of this silly social media game already. So we have to assume they are all leaving, unless told otherwise! Every year is a 'start at zero' except for those on a contract. Money, minutes, pathways, prestige... everyone has their own priorities. Unfortunately recruitment is complex with more going on behind the scenes (and behind backs) with clubs, players and agents trying to their best deal. We've been burned by other clubs' early socials before so hold tight. While it's good to know the movers and shakers, the club are the ones who have to balance it all out. It's unrealistic to expect players looking for more of anything to settle on an offer by June 1st.
