Not over here to take the mickey. But heard a strong rumour you wonβt play a game at Woodside road this year. Which then means Worthing vs Rocks at Horsham Iβm guessing?
Not going to be quite the same if that happens. Anyway hopefully you get the pitch sorted ASAP.

We might as well reverse the fixture... afterall 'The Nyecamp' holds no fear for us now Seriously though, the way things are going I can see the season being over by then, or at the very best a very long pause. I hold no hope of festive fixtures. The authorities know full well that Covid restriction compliance, already poor to dreadful, is going to fall through the floor in the 'holiday period'. I can see strong counter balances like the cancellation of all sports and entertainment events being put in place to try and mitigate against the inevitable huge rise in infections caused by Christmas.

Fully agree, sports suspended around November till February is my pessimistic prediction.
No doubt first home game after that will still be at Horsham!?!?

According to Twitter some clubs in tier 2 are not permitting spectators tomorrow. Other clubs are not permitting spectators to eat and drink around the perimeter of the pitch and closing their tea bars. Not much good for clubs finances.

If I was Bognor I wouldn't switch the fixture in December when there could be a possibility of increased crowds for the return match at Nyewood later in the season.

We awake this morning to the news the government is mulling over a national lockdown of a month (at least). It could be announced as early as Monday. Its coming βΉ

As we await the inevitable news that games will stop what does it do to the pitch situation?
The pitch company can't work from home so would not be breaking any Covid rules if they worked through it.
Getting it done in this month would mean the rearranged games could all be played at Woodside Road.
I've just got this horrible feeling though that something will cause this logical win win situation not to happen.

Yep, in the end it'll be worth the wait, its been a monkey on our shoulders virtually since it went in.
The explanation of the delay is very welcome too. The process was like a swimming swan it seems, lots going on out of sight but nothing happening that we could see.
Fingers crossed this is it now, no more unforseen issues.

Passed the ground this afternoon and preparatory work has definitely started π
A temporary compound fence is up at the front, the turnstiles have been dismantled and there's a flippin' gert big mechanical digger facing the pitch ready to go π
