Can't see why they cannot just carry on this season from whenever season 21/22 is permitted to commence, hopefully August 2021.
If the situation allows, unlikely though it seems, any time left for season 20/21 (up to May 21) could be used for a Velocity Cup competition or maybe regional competitions such as a Sussex Cup for all the Isthmian sides in the county.
At least then we may avoid having 2 successive seasons written off as null and void.

A 'no 💩 Sherlock' article in the local rag... Herald - LinkIt says nothing, but then there's nothing you can say is there. Be as merry over this Christmas as possible in the circumstances folks, but above all stay safe out there 😷 And a happy new year? Well happiness may be quite some way into the year by the looks of things. This season won't conclude normally, another null & void beckons. But. At some point the Covid cloud will lift and we'll all (god willing) be back together, at an upgraded Woodside Road, watching our team in some form of meaningful competition. Personally I suspect that'll be an 'as you were' ILPD 21/22 season. But it will happen and I suppose, even despite the waiting that still lays ahead, it'll be worth it in the end. ...and who knows the League might actually have a contingency plan by then 🙄

Can't see why they cannot just carry on this season from whenever season 21/22 is permitted to commence, hopefully August 2021. Now that is a sensible and pragmatic solution. It recognises the fixtures played so far and builds in healthy contingency windows for next season, we can't take an unhindered 21/22 season for granted. But this is where the League's failure to have a plan for 20/21 bites sense and pragmatism in the butt. With no agreement in place ANY resolution that isn't the completion of the season in full would need to be agreed... and can you see anyone but the clubs doing well so far voting to carry over their losses and poor goal differences? They'd basically be voting to start a 'new' season with points handicap. Nice idea but it'll never get approval... and no approval means null and void. Most clubs will want to null and void, its why most clubs voted not to restart on 2nd December... ...with no agreement on resolving a truncated season, not completing the season was the best way for the crap teams to avoid the possibility of relegation. It ALL comes back to failing to have a plan in place before a ball was kicked of what to do if the season was interrupted. That lack of proactive action guarantees a second null & void.

It changes nothing but the Isthmian League issued a statement yesterday... Isthmian Site - LinkAs we were then, sometime in 2021 a ball will be kicked but who knows when

Most leagues across the country are in the same boat regarding a huge amount of fixtures still to played. I can't see football returning for weeks yet, possibly March but more realistically later than that. An across the board suspension of the non league system countrywide and restart the current campaign in August is still what should happen in my opinion. This doesn't penalise sides who have made decent starts and will hopefully allow a full season with everyone playing the full amount of games. All sides would have access to their bars, tea huts etc so no clubs should be making a loss staging their fixtures. It would also give the opportunity for Gurnesey and Isle of Man to join their respective divisions with very few games to catch up on.

Totally agree with your thoughts ww. As they are so sensible though there is no chance they will be acted on

You are probably correct Kenty!! Getting to the stage where various clubs around the country should start to speak out and voice their opinions or possible solutions. If the entire non league system stood together there might be a chance to get a sensible proposal in place to avoid what is looking more than likely like another wasted season. Surely it is in all the member clubs best interests to begin again in August with bigger capacities etc knowing the various divisions will actually get concluded on the pitch. Anyway, all the best to everyone for 2021,hopefully it will be much improved from the debacle that was 2020.

News flash from the Isth League committee :-
"The proposed roll out of vaccine to older people gives the possible option of an imminent restart.
Clubs will need to field players who were over the age of 65 years. A review of the current squads will need to occur and only a few of the senior players from each club will qualify (other than Bog FC who will easily be able to field 4 teams)
In exceptional circumstances the league may allow a quota of development players aged 60 to 64
Eligible supporters would need to show proof of age at the gate; supporters under the age of 65 can not attend but are able peer through fences or stand on upturned crates as they used to before all that Health and Safety rubbish was started
There will be a minor increase in number of toilets in each ground, (minimum 100 per 100 spectators)
Clubs will need to rethink their policy on ball boys and also mascots but this will present an ideal marketing opportunity as a present at birthdays for the over 70s
Players will travel independently to away matches using bus passes and all club strips are to change without consultation to a knitted beige kit, of course with new logo of a partner betting company (yet to be appointed) picked out in heavy duty laundry marker"
Well all I can say is thank god we have such a proactive league to look after our interests so well
NB Thanks to the Hastings Fans Forum for the inspiration
