Who do we think the club will get in to replace Adam? Guessing he will have to be bought out of his contract by York so presumably we will have a bit of compensation money to use on a replacement. Will he take any of the coaching team with him I wonder. Regardless of what happens it’s been an absolute joy to watch these last few seasons, we’ve been throughly entertained. My first thought was “which team has scored a shedload in the league below?” and just say them. This brought up Chatham… unfortunately their manager is also their chairman so that’s my career as a scout over.

I'd imagine there are a number of ambitious, well qualified coaches who've reached their ceiling in youth development and are ready to cut their teeth in management. Coming to us would mean they could keep one foot in the development camp too.

Hi. York City supporter here and apparently he's going to be announced as the new manager shortly.
Appreciate the notes in this thread as we've not heard of him (no disrespect intended). Compensation won't be an issue as we're owned by a millionaire family now, so hopefully we send you a nice fat cheque for messing you around at this time of the season. Pretty sure we've told your club to name your price to avoid any negotiations as literally can't afford to go down, when it's dire enough in the National League, need the new manager in ASAP.
Social media also talking about one of your strikers, but we've got enough and threw 250K to get a decent frontman already, so I think that's likely nonsense if you see that.

We wait.
In the meantime your paper might want to update its image of him... his hairline has dropped further than a Tory majority since then 😆

From their site...
"Sounds like there's trouble convincing the coaching staff to come with the manager."
Would he go it alone?
Are Gary, Nathan, Cam etc. preferring to stay where they're lives are settled and potentially provide a continuity option to WFC?

Well they might offer lots of money but being the 3rd management team in a season makes you wonder really! Would you risk it?

I saw a stat on their board saying that no manager in the last 11 years has made it to 100 games. Money is all well and lovely but what price the dent to your CV and future career prospects? And for his backroom team its an even harder choice. There's no commuting to York. Adam has some sort of 'skin in the game' with his FinL being a York City fan, he probably knows the area fairly well if there were family trips up there. But they don't... they're expected to chuck all their chips into the pot just to stay with him. You can see why they'd be reluctant.

Well they might offer lots of money but being the 3rd management team in a season makes you wonder really! Would you risk it? our first manager was an over promoted coach/assistant who talked the talk, and was rightfully binned, however he should have gone end of last season. the Ardley experiment has been quite sad, he is a proven NL manager but he has had some issues with the move north and sad personal matters regarding his family, and there's talk of the will to carry on simply not being there with the project. I would add that the statement regarding his departure did not say sacking, but also it did not say mutual consent. I think the answer is in the middle. if it is Hinshelwood, he would be backed by an enthusiastic owner and a comparatively large fanbase, albeit with some bizarre people amongst them.

Keithsson I think you've got Adam mixed up with me haha.
It's my father in law that's a York City fan 😂

Nathan is our Director of Football, who knows if that's on offer for him from York? Cam works as a coach at BHAFC Academy. No idea about Gary. Buddie left Burgess Hill yesterday, possibly coincidentally...

I sure have 🤣 Although in my defence, you can read it two ways... Father in law big York City fan and ST holder. Rumours Hinsh & Elphick to them, few comments on X too. I'd be surprised myself but you never know. Even more bizarre a choice then, no skin in the game at all. I'm sure the coaching team will have discussed many times amongst themselves the 'what if' should a move arise for Hinshelwood... but I doubt a move that far away ever came up. If this is what's behind a delay as suggested then what if Hinsh is keen but no-one else is, would it stop him going?... and would it then cause a rift between them?

I think Gary has his own successful heating engineering business (I think Ben Pope works for him too) so would probably earn more doing that than a coach or assistant in NLN Genuinely believe we only need an interim manager from now until the end of the season to work with what we have. Buddy would absolutely fit the bill as would Dean Cox. A left field option might be Mark McGhee and/or Charlie Oatway both of whom live locally. We can then take stock of where we are and select from a far wider talent pool at the end of the season also knowing which division we will be playing in.
