Health Warning, this is not official and is based on league positions as of Monday gone and may/will change due to play offs, further league results etc. It assumes that clubs currently in 2nd place at step 3 win their play offs.
Still interesting though!

It's quite remarkable how far south the boundary is for the conference south. By the looks of it the team furthest north is Braintree, which is only Essex!

Great stuff Kenty, and the beauty of the edit function is that if things don't go as anticipated it can easily be emended 👍🏻
I've looked ahead to next season too and discovered another bonus of promotion is our new league is on the football ground guide... so tha will be a new feature for the previews.

Ebbsfleet:
Hungerford:

I’m aware of how it works but the regionalisation does throw up some oddities. When you have Brackley currently in the north, they have some mega trips. On the other hand, I guess it can keep it fresh if they keep getting punted from north to south. Oddly I’m hoping for some west-focussed trips. Truro look too far adrift of their playoffs but Weston are in the mix. It’ll be great to have some new places to go and really see what we’re made of. I think we’ll make a decent fist of it.

With the leagues now concluded at our (old!) level its a good time to revisit this thread as the line-up for next season is our new focus in the coming weeks. The current NLS season still has three or four matches to go but here's how it looks currently... National League South - LinkBut, like us, the the Southern League Premier Central and the Southern League Premier South concluded the regular season yesterday. Now I haven't got a scooby-do how they work out who goes up into the NLS or NLN ( it genuinely seems pins in a map is how it's done!) but this is the state of play for the three feeder leagues into the National league South... ILPD - LinkChampions = Worthing. Play-offs... Wed 27th AprilBishop's Stortford v Cheshunt Enfield Town v Hornchurch SLPC - LinkChampions = Banbury. Play-offs... Tues 26th AprilPeterborough Sports v Alvechurch Coalville Town v Rushall Olympic SLPS - LinkChampions = Taunton Town. Play-offs... Tues 26th AprilHayes & Yeading United v Weston-Super-Mare Farnborough Town v Metropolitan Police So six teams get eliminated from the chance of joining us next season this week, four on Tuesday, two more on Wednesday.

I don't know if anyone can answer this question.Does anyone know how many teams are full time in the National league south.Reading about the Oldham situation in a northern publication it said the whole of the National League are full time and a number of teams in the National League North are full time.Just wondered what WFC are up against next season.

Ebbsfleet are definitely full time but still could go up via the play offs; I don't believe any of the other current teams in Connie South are. In Connie North by comparison Gateshead, York and possibly Kettering are (was discussing just this with a Spennymoor fan at West Auckland v North Shields yesterday). Also of note, to me at least, is that step 3 full time team South Shields have to go into the play offs despite their shameful sacking of the manager when in 2nd place a couple of months ago and the parachuting in of Kevin Phillips ex Sunderland who had no non league experience in the last 20 years.

What struck me about the NLN is how many of the teams are ex-Football League - there's 7 in there, 9 if you count Gateshead and Bradford Park Avenue. Whereas there aren't any in the NLS, except Maidstone (sort of) but they look like they're going up anyway.

Re "who goes Connie N/ who goes Connie S", it's not just which team is further north; the relevant body also consider transport links. So for example a club nearer motorways may have to do longer journeys than a club marginally more north or south. I believe that Stortford were the victims of this last time at step 2 and the FA gave them a sub to cover the increased travel costs.
In the past clubs that have been moved against their will have also been then "immunised" against a move back for a certain period. This has been done with clubs in the midlands for example who if they were in one division may look at more southern based players but if the were in a northern equivalent would recruit from a different area
As ever, clear as mud

Bring it on and let's sing ''Ey Ei, Ey Ei, Ey Ei Oh, Up the Conference South we go, When we're in the National, this is what we'll sing. We are Worthing Super Worthing, Hinshelwood's our King''
Who knows?! Onwards and Upwards.

It's been there a good few years but I'll give it 3 years to get into the National. A fair prediction although whatever happens it'll be a ride!
