After a week of rest thanks to the Weston postponement we go again on Tuesday. Unfortunately we gain no advantage of fresh legs because the only other fixture to fall foul of the weather on Saturday was Darts trip to Truro.

As with last week's game with Havant the match has been designated as segregated so the link provided above is for home fans only. I guess sales will dictate if, like Havant, the segregation idea is binned on the night.
Last season we enjoyed a double over Darts. An early 1-2 away win in August was followed up with a 3-0 win in this corresponding fixture in late January. The goals came from Davide Rodari, Ollie and an OG...

Interesting to see just how much turnover in playing staff we've had in just over ten months. Of the starting XI and three subs that day only Joel, Joe, Kane and Ollie are in the frame for this game. Harrison, Barks, Lewis White and Cal have all left. Loanees Rodari and Chambers went back and never returned, Meeky is out on loan (although I suspect we'll never see him back) and Aarran, Rueben Austin (& Lewis Thorn?) are injured.
Darts finished last season in second, five points and twelve goals better than us. Exiting the play-offs at the same semi final stage as us you'd have not unreasonably expected us both to be strong and fighting for the top this time round. Like us though they've not been nearly as consistent as last season and find themselves currently in 15th with 22 points from 17 games. We're now 8th with 26 points from two matches fewer.

Form wise and there is very little to separate us on first glance sitting as we are in 13th and 14th place with seven points apiece over the last six games. Darts are only above us thanks to a two goal better GD. We can paint a slightly more encouraging picture if we narrow the form window to just the most recent four games... we then rise to 9th (6/12) and they drop to 16th (4/12).
Home and away too we pip things. We are 10th for home form over the last six with 11/18 and only one defeat in that spell. They are 19th for away form with just 4/18 and only one win in the same spell. That win came at Chippenham (1-4) which is no mean feat, their only other point in that time being a 1-1 at Eastbourne.

Squad wise? They say every cloud has a silver lining... well every clear blue sky has a Seagull ready to 'dump one' on you too. Because you'd think we wouldn't look the gift horse of a rare free weekend in a tough run of fixtures too closely in the mouth. But having rested/withdrawn a fair few against Havant to prepare for the long trip to Weston, we now can't do the same ahead of the long trip to Frome on Saturday. Had Weston been played then Robbo, Klass, Wheeler and Ricky would've got a game and thus everyone's game time would be up to a consistent level. We could think about managing the squad similarly for the Darts/Frome pairing. But having only now played two halves of football in ten days between all four of them you can't really NOT involve them on Tuesday or those players will almost be 'over rested'. Its a tricky one, but it'll be what it'll be.
All midweek fixtures...
Monday
Aveley v Chelmsford City
Tuesday
Braintree Town v Welling United
Eastbourne Borough v Tonbridge Angels
Hampton & Richmond Borough v St Albans City
Maidstone United v Dover Athletic
Truro City v Taunton Town
Weston-super-Mare v Chippenham Town
Worthing v Dartford
Yeovil Town v Farnborough
After some rubbish weather tomorrow Tuesday at least looks dry. However impressive it is for Horsham to be on live TV I'd like to think it won't effect our gate so we can but hope for another rare four figure midweek crowd.
Come on you Rebels!
