We have no idea when he signed as his registration would have been subject to international clearance.

York does seem a rather odd choice, if he is indeed going there. They're right in the crap in the NL, and though it's a very nice part of the world, it would entail uprooting his entire family. For a gig which could well see him end up at the same step of the pyramid next season.
But a price of 1/6 seems almost conclusive tbh.
Will anyone give me a price on Dean Hammond being the next Worthing gaffer?

For a gig that could well see him unemployed next season. He'd be trading job security for a club that have gone through managers recently like a gigolo goes through condoms π³ He's a club builder not a crisis manager. When he goes he surely needs to go to a club with patience, understanding and a long-term plan. York City do not strike me as that at this present time.

Oh, and as for the odds, that needn't necessarily be a guide of anything at all.
Gus Poyet was the 'odds on favorite' for Argyle job over New Year. Never had any contact, it was just his agent reminding everyone his client was about while Greece had no games.
They're also driven solely by the money put on. Honestly, a pot as tiny as the one for York City's next manager... could be massively skewed just by his Father in Law putting a tenner on him purely out of family loyalty π
...I fully expect to wake up tomorrow morning and he's gone having jinxed it saying that π¬

But hey, say he does, good luck to him. An odd choice but he's earned the right to make that choice and we'll have nearly three years of his remaining contract compensated.
It'd give the documentary some spice, usually production companies need to manufacture the jeopardy π
Big boots to fill but, whenever it happens, no-one is bigger than the club and we'll move on. I trust the owner and board to make a good choice... Worthing FC manager is a far more appealing job than York City right now.

And besides, I'm not saying he isn't going, just observing the pitfalls of following odds, especially in such a tiny market as a NL manager appointment.

You never see a bookie on a bike, so clearly with those odds something is happening.
That said, I think Adam should keep his powder dry and wait for something a bit closer, ie commuting distance, to Lower Salvington, sorry I meant Durrington π

It's such a small market though, a few quid here or there can sway it so easily, earlier this afternoon he wasn't even a candidate and now he's odds in favourite? Either someone is making the bookies look silly here or there is something about it... time will tell!

Hinsh is here to stay as far as I'm concerned.

Sadly I think he's gone.
I also think it's a disastrous choice for him if so and it isn't sour grapes. Here's why
Firstly, he needs to get in and instil his philosophy, ideally over a pre season - not short sharp shock avoid relegation. It's not inconceivable he will be at the same level next season but 6 hours from his friends and family. Secondly, he won't get the time to do this at York. It's all well and good saying that if he's sacked, they'll pay him up in full. Club's don't. Clubs in administration definitely don't. Thirdly, the final piece of the Hinsh enigma that he needs to do to give him EVERYTHING and the career it will unlock is how to build a defence. We still get biffed by 4 too regularly. It's all very well saying there will be better defenders to work with at a higher level. Equally, there will be better strikers to go up against who aren't as wasteful Fourthly, his contacts are all southern. He won't know the northern Joel Colbran playing county league football that can step up hugely or the experienced Jake Robinson who's still got the legs Fifthly, in the next 2 years, better jobs closer to home (so he wouldn't need to uproot his family) will be offered to him. Namely and in no particular order - Woking, Sutton, Crawley, Gillingham, Colchester, Leyton Orient, Wycombe, Stevenage etc etc.
The Worthing job is the best at this level of Non League football. It's well paid, you get the full backing of the fans, you get time and you get full autonomy on every aspect of the footballing side. You don't get that at many places. There will be no shortage of applicants, the calibre of which will surprise everyone.
Be careful what you wish for.
